Barnsley Youth Choir relies on the support and goodwill of supporters and sponsors to operate. Without this financial support we aren’t able to offer amazing opportunities to young people, many of whom are disadvantaged.

We currently run two key schemes that enable friends and supporters of the choir to stay connected and contribute in a very special way.

Friend of BYC
£2.50 per month (£30 per year)

  • Names listed on the website.
  • An enamel badge marking your support.

We know a number of people would like to contribute towards the running costs of BYC but do not seek any particular recognition or reward. We hope the ‘Friend of BYC’ scheme offers a lovely opportunity to support without it being a huge financial burden.

Patron of BYC
£5.50 per month (£66 per year)

  • Name listed on the Website.
  • 2 free tickets to either the Christmas or Spring concerts.
  • Invitation to an exclusive Patrons evening where you will watch choirs rehearse.
  • An enamel badge marking your support.
  • Priority booking for tickets to Christmas and Spring concerts.

This scheme offers wonderful value for money. Tickets to most of our concerts sell out quickly and this scheme offers preferential booking to Patrons to ensure that they never miss out. Similar schemes with other choirs are significantly more expensive but we are keen to make this affordable to all.

We know that Patrons of the choir feel really proud to be connected and recognise that their contribution makes such a difference to so many young people’s lives. If you would like to support us by either being a Patron or Friend of BYC please get in touch click here. We have a stand at this concert where we can answer questions about the scheme.

Thank you to all current patrons for their extraordinary support of these choirs. Friends and Patrons make such a difference to the lives of children at BYC.
